Contemporary life and modern architecture take a toll on all of us, and sometimes you just want to rewind back in time to when things were cozy, time ran slowly and everything was human-scaled, heart-warming and hand-made. This house was created with this feeling and looks quite unconventional next to its down-to-business neighbors.
Architectural night-time lighting lends special charm to the building and the surrounding property.
The building is conventionaly divided into two parts - one for the parents and one for the kids. The high space with "the hat" is the focal point of the composition; to its right is situated a spacious garage with an open green terrace on its rooftop surrounded by the wrought-iron fence.
The conservatory is fully-glazed with floor-to-ceiling window panes.
The first-floor space is designed in the form of a classic suite with lateral side-rooms. From the entry zone located along the central axis, the visitor comes to the main lobby with a staircase flanked by the wrought-iron railing.
The second and the mezzanine levels host private quarters: the parents' block and two kids' rooms. The master bedroom has a separate entrance to a large patio, and the children's rooms - their own cozy balconies facing the inner courtyard.
Throughout the house, one can find a lot of customized accessories hand-made by craftsmen.
