PROJECT ABSTRACT

The project proposal was designed to connect the waterfront area to the historic and architectural part of the city of Kazan - the Kremlin. Being the focal point of the city, the Kremlin is the busiest and most visited area and linking it to the waterfront will be beneficial for bringing the more city-folk and the visitors to the new part of town.

The walking path along the river bank will become accessible due to the introduction of a new bridge systems. To realize the mail idea of the project, we suggest linking into the single walking and biking network the Kremlin, Park Molodozhenov (the Park of the Newlyweds), train station, Kirov Dam, New Dam, Vorony Kust area and the Kazanka riverside.
